NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's soccer team (3-7, 2-2 A-Sun) will be on the hunt for its third consecutive Atlantic Sun victory when it hosts Campbell (4-7, 1-3 A-Sun) on Thursday night at the Whitten Soccer Complex. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m. CT.
The Camels will look to snap a three-match skid when they come to Nashville this week. Campbell, who has only won one of its last six matchups, brings an overall record of 4-7-1 and an A-Sun mark of 1-3 to Whitten Soccer Complex.
CU is led in scoring by Olga Ekblom, who has four goals. The Camels' leader in assists is Annabelle Gibney, who has tallied five. The team's leading goalkeeper is Jamie Panfil. She has a record of 3-6-1, a GAA of 1.22 and a save percentage of .797.
Campbell narrowly leads the all-time series, 4-5; however Belmont has won the last four matchups. The contests have always been tight between the programs with every game since 2005 being decided by one goal.
The Bruins swept its first Atlantic Sun road trip of the season last weekend. Belmont dominated USC Upstate, 5-0, before edging ETSU in double overtime, 3-2, two days later.
Sophomore Laura Harris (Macon, Ga.) led BU in goals with a total of two. Freshman Nicole Berner (Randolph, N.J.) logged over 196 minutes in goal and came away with six saves and a 0.92 GAA after the pair of contests.
