Julia Nittoli
Morehead State/Greenbrier Invitational – September 16-17, 2019

Julia Nittoli became Belmont's fifth individual champion when she captured the Morehead State/Greenbrier Invitational last September, tea team's season opening tournament.

On day one at Greenbrier Country Club in Lexington, Kentucky, the San Antonio, Texas native carded rounds of 74 and 72 to finish the day in second place at 146.  She was two shots behind the tournament leader, Emily Keeling of Lipscomb.

In the final round, she posted a one-under par 71, to pass Keeling and win the individual title by two shots at 217.  It was her second lowest career round and the only round under par among the tournament field.  In addition, her 54-hole score of 217 finished tied for the second-lowest in program history.

Her finish helped Belmont to a runner-up finish in the team standings.  Two other Bruins finished among the top-20 besides Nittoli, Katelyn Dunstan in ninth and Cameron Fish in 17th place.

Julia's individual title led to her being named OVC Golfer of the Week, a first in her BU career.

The rest of her senior season saw her finish with a 77.8 average, who placed her among the top-20 in the OVC in the shortened 2019-20 season.
