Amy Malo is entering her fifth season as an assistant coach for Belmont women's basketball. 

In her previous four seasons as a part of the Bruins staff, Malo has seen three-straight OVC Championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, as well as a 66-4 record in OVC play. 

Malo starred collegiately at nearby Vanderbilt University from 2005-2009. During her time as a Commodore, the 6'3 forward played in two SEC Tournament Championships and made two trips to the Sweet Sixteen.

Malo earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human & Organizational Development with an emphasis in Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness in 2009 and in 2011 received her Master's of Education in Human Resource Development from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College.

Since graduating from VU, Malo has built a career in the corporate leadership development field. Most recently, she served as a learning facilitator for the State of Tennessee's Human Resource Department, Strategic Learning Solutions Division.

In addition to her corporate leadership development experience, Malo has spent the past six years serving as the head coach of a local basketball club team that is comprised of several Division I athletes. She also spent the 2015-2016 high school basketball season as an assistant coach under the tutelage of former Vanderbilt and WNBA player, State Champion Coach, Rhonda (Blades) Brown at Brentwood Academy. Malo helped the program earn its third-straight TSSAA Div II-AA State Championship Title. She also spent time as a junior varsity coach while at Brentwood.

Originally from Fairmont, Minnesota, Malo now resides in Nashville.
