NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont Bruins will play host to the Wofford Terriers (2-8-0) to begin Southern Conference play on Saturday at E.S. Rose Park. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. and will feature Senior Day festivities.

MATCH NOTES

Belmont's last win over the Terriers came on Sept. 26, 2008 by a score of 1-0 at the Atlantic Sun/SoCon Challenge in Nashville. Wade Wonderlin logged an 87th-minute game-winning goal to propel the Bruins to a 1-0 victory.

LAST TIME OUT: Belmont fell on the road 3-0 at Louisville in their final non-conference tilt of the season on Tuesday, Oct. 1. SCOUTING WOFFORD: The Terriers are led by first-year head coach Joel Tyson, who has tallied a 2-8-0 record with the program to start the 2019 season. Wofford is currently on a four-match losing skid, as it dropped its most recent match to Longwood University at home by a score of 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday.

Last season, the Terriers finished with a 5-11-1 (3-3, SoCon) record and were knocked out in the first round of the SoCon tournament by the UNC Greensboro Spartans.

SOCON STREAK: The Bruins are entering their second season in the Southern Conference play against the Terriers on Saturday. Overall, Belmont remains unbeaten in conference openers, as they played to a 2-2 draw to open SoCon competition last season against UNC Greensboro.
