Top 10 Moments of 2019-20: No. 2 - Best Homecoming Ever

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Homecoming 2020 comes in at No. 2 of our countdown of the Top 10 moments of the 2019-20 season.

Belmont University held a pregame ceremony to name the Curb Event Center playing surface Rick Byrd Court, in honor of the former head coach who won 805 career games and led Belmont to eight NCAA Tournament appearances.

It was an emotional and celebratory scene, as dozens of Byrd's former players - including NBA Champion Ian Clark and current Cleveland Cavalier Dylan Windler - returned to campus to support the hall of fame coach.

The Belmont coaching staff also donned sweater vests in Byrd's honor.

As for the game itself - perhaps appropriate given Byrd's penchant for uptempo play - the Bruins' game vs. Jacksonville State became a high-scoring affair.

Despite early foul trouble for Grayson Murphy, Belmont got huge contributions from Adam Kunkel and Nick Hopkins in building a 15-point lead.

Nick Muszynski delivered 18 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots as Belmont shot 56 percent from the field and handed out 23 assists.

Hopkins led an impressive 33 points off the bench as the Bruins secured a 10th consecutive 20-win season.
