Renee Schultz begins her fifth year as Associate Athletic Director for Student Services/Senior Woman Administrator and has been on staff at Belmont for 17 years. She was named the Senior Woman Administrator in July 2016.
She was named to the position after spending two years as Assistant Athletic Director for Student Services. Prior to that promotion, Schultz spent 10 years as Director of Academic Support for Belmont's Department of Athletics.
Schultz assists the overall management of the department by overseeing the day-to-day operations of our athletic teams.
She manages and oversees the extensive academic support programs offered to Belmont student-athletes which include weekly, one-on-one academic counseling sessions for new student-athletes, academic advising and class scheduling, tutoring and monitoring class performance. She works closely with coaches in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes, serving as the departmental liaison for Admissions and meets with prospective student-athletes and their families during their recruiting visit. She also manages the department's Academic Enhancement Fund.
She currently serves on the Ohio Valley Conference’s Governance Cabinet and is one of the administrators for the OVC’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Schultz earned her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a M.Ed. in Sport Administration from Belmont University.
While at Belmont, she was a part of the Women's Soccer Program and helped Captain the team in both 1999 and 2001. Schultz served as the Assistant Coach for the Women's Soccer team from 2003-2004.
She serves on various campus committees, including the Welcome Home Diversity Committee, Student Care Team, the Scholarship and Awards Nomination Committee, and the Academic Integrity Review Committee.
A native of University Place, Washington, Schultz currently resides in Nashville with her husband, Donovan and two children, Brynn and Miles.
