Colette Keyser enters her 19th year with Belmont University's Department of Athletics.
In her role as Assistant Athletic Director for Sport Operations, Keyser oversees game-day operations and event management for a variety of sports, primarily those competing at the E.S. Rose Park Sports Complex. In addition, she serves as Belmont’s designated athletics health care administrator, supervising the sports medicine/athletic training staff, as well as the strength & conditioning program. Keyser functions as the department’s liaison to Human Resources, coordinating the hiring process for all new athletic department coaches/staff members, job descriptions updates, training and professional development, and performance evaluations. In addition, she also oversees the department’s graduate assistant and internship programs and also serves as the academic advisor for the sport of Baseball.
Prior to her promotion to Assistant Athletic Director, Keyser served as the Assistant Director of Compliance and Academic Support Services for nearly 11 years, overseeing the department's academic reporting and academic support programs for student-athletes. Her previous role involved monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress to meet NCAA eligibility benchmarks and requirements for timely graduation, reporting Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data to the NCAA, and chairing the department's Scholarship and Awards Nomination Committee, which promotes all leadership and postgraduate scholarship opportunities for student-athletes through the NCAA and conference offices.
Keyser earned her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Kentucky Wesleyan College and her Master's in Communication from Western Kentucky University. A native of Benton, Kentucky, she has two adult sons, Maxim and Dennis, and resides in Ashland City, Tennessee with her husband, Jerome Terrell.
