NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Senior women's basketball player Maura Muensterman (Evansville, Ind.) and sophomore men's basketball player Adam Kunkel (Hebron, Ky.) have been named Trane Student-Athletes of the Month for January.
During the months of December and the early part of January, Maura started all six games and scored in double figures in four of them. She scored a season high 16 points against both Lipscomb and Marquette during that stretch and hit the game winning three-pointer in the victory over rival Lipscomb. Muensterman currently leads the team in assists and steals and ranks second in scoring.
Kunkel started all seven games during December and early January for the Bruins. He scored in double figures six times, including a 27 points against Lipscomb and 24 versus Kennesaw State. For his efforts in the Lipscomb game, he was named OVC Player of the Week. Overall, Adam currently ranks fourth in the OVC in scoring at 17.2 points per game, ranks second in three pointers made, and fourth in free throw percentage.
