NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University Women's Tennis head coach Mark Srouji recently announced the addition of an outstanding player for the 2018-19 season. The bruins will welcome Peyton Lee (Marietta, Ga.) into the Bruin family in the fall of 2018.
A 4 Star tennis recruit from Marietta, Ga., Lee has been ranked as high as #1 in the Southern rankings and as high as #44 in national rankings by tennisrecruiting.net. She has won a national title in both singles and doubles, has been a doubles finalist in several national tournaments and has been the winner of the Southern Winter Level 1 Championships.
The four-time All County honoree has won several sportsmanship awards in national and southern tournaments. Lee has also been a part of the National Team Championships as well as a player for Team Georgia in Southern Junior Cup – Gold Division.
"Peyton is a great fit for Belmont University and the women's tennis program," Srouji said. "She is a great person and student-athlete."
Lee, who plays #1 singles, will join the Bruins after wrapping her career at Marietta High School. The four-time MVP selection helped her team win Region last year.
