SAVANNAH, Ga. – in Sunday's final round, the Belmont men's golf team moved up two spots and finished in 10th place at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor held at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia.
Belmont posted a team score of 292 in their final 18 holes to finish in 10th place at 892. Host William and Mary won the team title with a score of 854. Austin Peay was second at 857, while USC-Beaufort placed third at 857.
The Bruins were led by sophomore Nate Thomson. The Wisconsin native shot a final round 76 to finish in a tie for 14th place at 217. It was his second top-20 finish of the season. Thomson finished eight shots behind individual champion Logan Sabins of Butler (209).
The men's golf team will be back in action on March 9-11 at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
