Nate Woods Promoted to Jamestown Jammers

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - Former Belmont Baseball standout Nate Woods (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) has quickly made his mark in the minor leagues, and has been promoted to the Jamestown Jammers of the Florida Marlins franchise.

Woods, who played 20 games with the Gulf Coast League Marlins, recorded a batting average of .347, tallied 10 doubles, and hit two home runs.  The BU single-season record holder for home runs and RBI was told about the move Sunday night, and made his way to New York early Monday morning.
