Why did you choose Belmont?

I choose Belmont because of the people. Everyone here care about you as a person. Everyone in the athletic department and all the professors are willing to take time out of their days to help you with whatever it is you need.

What are your career goals?

I want to be an elementary school teacher in a low income area. I feel like those are the kids that get short changed or are at a disadvantage to their peers.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

You learn to time manage very well. You use all of your extra time during the day to get you work done. Also, you plan ahead and get work done early so that you aren’t ever rushing at the last minute to get big projects done.

What is your ritual before a game/meet/match?

I don’t really have a pregame ritual, but for every match I right the word FROG on my wrist. It stands for Fully Relying on God. It is just a reminder for me about who I’m playing for and why I am on the court.

Who is your favorite athlete and why?

Michal Jordan is my favorite athlete because he played for the Bulls while I was growing up and I got to watch all of the great success that he and those teams had.

My favorite current athlete is Blake Griffin.

If we were to turn on your iPod, what would be playing right now?

Set Fire to the Rain by Adele is actually what I’m listening to right now.

What is your favorite quote?

“Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.” -Denis Diderot
