John Langdon enters his 21st year with the Belmont Department of Athletics.
He is currently in his 10th year as Assistant Director of Compliance & Student-Athlete Development. His present duties include assisting with day-to-day operations of the compliance office. In addition, he serves as the coordinator for the deaprtment's student-athlete development initiatives.
John has served in numerous roles during his tenure as a member of the athletic department staff. He has worked in the areas of media relations, operations, and ticketing.
A native of Nashville, Langdon received his Bachelor's degree in history from Rhodes College in Memphis in 1996. He received his Master's in sports and leisure commerce from the University of Memphis in the summer of 2001. While a student at Rhodes, he worked in the school's sports information and men's basketball offices for three years.
After graduating from Rhodes, Langdon served two years as Rhodes' sports information director. Langdon moved to Belmont in the summer of 1998. In addition, John is the primary media relations contact for Belmont's golf and cheerleading programs.
An avid golfer and sports fan, John resides in Bellevue, a suburb of Nashville.
